The airline was established in 2024 to take over the operations of the previous airline with a similar name that had ceased operations. It was oringinally branded as LIAT20. The new airline is a joint venture between the government of Antigua and Barbuda and Air Peace of Nigeria. The airline operates out of its main hub at V.C. Bird International Airport and maintains a second hub at Argyle International Airport. The airline started operations with a small fleet of Embraer ERJ145 regional jets fitted with 50 Economy class seats. Initial operations include around ten destinations throughout the Caribbean.

For a smooth travel experience with Liat Air, check in online or at the airport. Be sure to arrive early at least two hours for domestic flights and three for international.
