Airlines operating Tupolev Tu-214 airplanes
The Tupolev Tu-214 is a Russian medium-range, narrow-body twin-engine jet airliner developed as an improved version of the Tu-204, with its first flight in 1996. Designed to compete with Western aircraft like the Boeing 757 and Airbus A320, it can carry around 180 to 212 passengers depending on configuration. Powered typically by Aviadvigatel PS-90A turbofan engines, the Tu-214 offers a cruising speed of about 810–850 km/h and a range near 5,650 km. It features modern avionics, including a digital fly-by-wire system, and is used for both passenger and cargo transport. Few aircraft are in commercial service today but production has resumed and it is expected to become a more common sight at Russian airports in the future.
